Name: Lord Duncan Bane Fuar Bhathais

Weapon: Spear

Lord Duncan Bane Fuar Bhathais "The Bastard" was born the illegitimate son of the Fuar Bhathais Clan chief in the heart of the scottish winter in 1076.

With few other prospects, Duncan was turned over to the church and while he prospered from the education, he hated the monastic life and ran away after stealing the silver chalice from the church's relequary.

Never recognized by his father and never quite fitting in to the life expected of him, Duncan left his clan and eventually Scotland due to a number of "misunderstandings" (read: murders, thefts, and an unfortunate incident with another man's wife).

Unfortunatly these misunderstandings seemed to follow Duncan, to England and eventally to Rome.

Running out of places to hide, Duncan took passage on a crusader ship to the holy land.

Once he hit land in Jaffa, Duncan abandoned the crusader army and fell in with a wandering troop of Sufi mystics.

On June 1st 1099, 6 days ahead of the crusader army. Duncan entered the ancient city of Jeruselem. Knowing that he had reached the limit of his run, and sensing the massacre that awaited those who stayed in the city, he said goodbye to his new friends, and collected supplies for his trip.

On June 6 with the crusaders in sight, Duncan slipped out the gates of the city and started the long trip back to Jaffa and eventually home.
